Thomas A. Fox
After nearly 30 years of developing individualized programs, Tom knows the myths and misconceptions in the marketplace that need to be avoided in order to help people sustain healthy living. He has seen the frustration of people trying down-and-up fad diets, the aggravation of limited or no time for regular exercise at a gym and the health and financial costs that occur when there is nowhere for all that associated stress to go. Knowing that good health habits should be personalized, easy to adopt and sustainable, Tom has authored the book The System for Health & Weight Loss to help individuals understand the health impacts of the choices they make with regard to nutrition, exercise and stress management. Tom has spent his career helping individuals develop and manage programs for improving their energy, nutrition, fitness and stress levels, so he has heard it all when it comes to objections on why healthy choices are difficult to make. He debunks these in the book and during his lectures while providing information on how to build an individualized program. The book has been well received by many individuals looking to make lifestyle improvements and organizations seeking input on how to reduce employee health care costs. Holding a master’s degree in exercise physiology from the University of Maryland, Tom has helped professional athletes on the Washington Redskins and Washington Capitals with their strength training regimens. A professor at Chesapeake College, he also has assisted countless individuals de-program their bad habits and adopt customized programs for nutrition, fitness and stress reduction that suit their lifestyle.
